This month, the June Shining Moment Award goes to, Phonexay Simmavanh, one of our air conditioning techs. Phonexay has been employed at Hammond Services for 10 years.  He is well liked by his fellow employees and often recieves compliments from customers.

These are two compliments he recieved from customers in June.

Richard & Ramona Lunsford, who live on McKinley Drive in Griffin, called in to say what a great job Phonexay did at their home. They wanted to say thank you and make sure we gave him a big pat on the back.

 Perry Pace, who lives in Griffin on Kline Circle, mailed us a note that read as follows:

“Yesterday, our AC wasn’t cooling and I called for your service.  Mr. Phonexay came out and, without question, he was one of the best technicians to ever come to my home, Period.  He was very professional and had a good personality, but above all he did a wonderful job and we are well satisfied.

Judy Snider Judy Snider, was our May, 2010 Sign Contest Winner! We went out to present her with her $100 check, and to take her picture. Ms. Snider proceeded to then give countless praises about our service. Below are some quotes of what she had to say: 

“Hammond’s has been coming to my home since 1998.  They usually come five or six times a year.  I’ve used all their services, heating & air, electrical, plumbing.  All the techs that have come out have always been good!  What has really impressed me is the support of Griffin Tech students. It’s nice seeing them graduate and then be employed.  One of the techs that came to my home was actually one of my students from Griffin Tech.  It’s nice to see a business in Griffin doing well!  I have Hammond Services on my speed dial!!  Last year I recieved a card and brownies, it was a nice personal touch.”

Bill Jones with his $100 checkCongratulations to Mr. Bill Jones of 700 Tanyard Road in Zebulon, GA. He is the winner of the sign contest for the month of January. He has always been pleased with the Heating & Air service he gets from Hammond Services and is very thankful to win the sign contest for January and receive his $100 check. He said that James, our HVAC tech, always does a great job.

Here’s some information that you may want to know!  It’s about a brand new rebate program being offered through the State to promote the purchase of Energy Star appliances. This is a limited program that started on Feb. 12th, and will end when the rebate money runs out. This can be combined with the current Federal Tax Credit program as well. Read Below for more details.

Since February 12, 2010, the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program provides Georgia residents with rebates ranging from $25 to $199 on ENERGY STAR rated appliances. ENERGY STAR appliances eligible for the program include clothes washers, dishwashers, air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators and freezers. The total amount available for rebates is $8.6 million. This is a first come, first serve program until the money is used up. Purchases made prior to February 12, 2010, will not be eligible.. Hammond Services was recently voted “Best of the Best” by the readers of the Griffin Daily News, making the locally owned and operated HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services business the recipient of this honor for 7 consecutive years.

The awards are conducted annually and organized by the Griffin Daily News, which is a highly published newspaper in the local community. The “Best of the Best” awards are determined by Griffin and Spalding County residents who nominate local business or individual for each award category in which they specialize. 

It’s an honor to receive this recognition each year from our community. We value the support of our local community and are looking forward to continuing to helping our customers each and everyday. Ms. Revell

Long-time customer, Ms. Bertha Revell of Barnesville, is our monthly sign contest winner. She’s been a customer of ours for well over 15 years. Our technician, James Smith, has been doing her HVAC preventive maintenance tune-ups twice annually. Ms. Revell commented that she is very pleased with the service she gets from Hammond Services. She complimented James on his thoroughness and professionalism. She was presented with a check for $100 by owner, David Hammond, at her home on Friday, December 11, 2009.
